Welcome! I’m Grace, an artist specializing in pet portraits that capture personality, emotion, and connection. I also love exploring other themes and creative ideas. Here you will find a collection of my paintings and drawings. I invite you to explore, get to know my style, and see what I’ve been creating.

I’ve been drawing for as long as I can remember. As a kid, I was always sketching animals because I was (and still am) a huge animal lover. Creating art felt natural to me. It was just something I loved to do.
In high school, I took art classes and realized I wanted to pursue it seriously. I went on to study Illustration at Northern Illino

In high school, I took art classes and realized I wanted to pursue it seriously. I went on to study Illustration at Northern Illinois University before transferring to Columbia College Chicago, where I graduated in 2020 with a BA in Animation. While animation taught me a lot, spending so much time working digitally made me miss the feeling of creating art by hand.
In 2018, I started taking pet portrait commissions and quickly fell in love with creating meaningful, one-of-a-kind pieces for others.

Each piece begins with a conversation to understand the client’s vision and the feeling they want the artwork to convey. I select my materials based on that intention—oil paint and pastels for realism, and charcoal or graphite for more dramatic or memorial portraits. When it comes to pet portraits, I love getting to know the pet so I can better convey their personality through the artwork.

Our pets are such a big part of our lives, and capturing their personality, expressions, and little quirks feels incredibly special to me. Having owned many pets myself, I know how much pets mean to the people who love them, and I put that care into every piece I create.
